It has been a LONG time since I’ve posted anything to this blog. I have no one to blame but myself. When I first got my new motorcycle I was all “gung ho” to share my experiences with everyone that would consider me important enough to check out. I posted about every ride I took, every mod I made to the motorcycle, vacations, etc.
Then I got sidetracked and became lackadaisical. Most of the motorcycle mods I intended to make had been completed. Most of the good riding routes in my area had already been documented. Life, in general, took over my life. In other words, through a combination of having other things to do, thinking no one cared what I did, and just plain laziness, I stopped updating this. Every now and then I would think “I should really get back to writing my blog again” only to have something else come up and push it back out of my head (not that difficult a process as it turns out).
Well, as I sit here during lunch at work and try to figure out what to do (snack, play games, sleep ) I finally got up enough determination to start back in on my writing again. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep up the interest, but I’m certainly going to try.
For those of you left hanging by my ongoing tale about our Hawaiian vacation from my last post in July, rest assured I will complete the series. I just have to go back through pictures and remember what exactly we did the remainder of our trip. About the only thing I DO remember at this point is that the weather turned nice just as we were getting set to leave. Typical! In any event, I will be posting pictures, etc. from the rest of that trip as soon as I boost my memory.
I have also completed another few small mods on the bike, including replacing the rear turn signals with LED clusters that act as running lights, signal lights, and brake lights. I also added a KnightRider style addition to my tail light. And I added a trunk in place of my rear sissy bar. I’ll be posting info on these mods as soon as I get some pictures. At the very least, here is one of my latest pictures of the bike itself.
And just so this post isn’t completely worthless, here’s a random picture of our cat Maggie, being silly. Note the nearly hairless pink belly. Ever since they shaved her to “fix” her as a kitten, she’s never really grown the hair back there. Very peculiar.
And just so you all have something recent to look at here’s a picture of Polly after last weekend’s trip to Snoqualmie Casino, where she managed to turn $20 into over $400 on penny slots. However, I won’t bother posting the picture where I managed to turn $40 into a quarter, as that would just be cruel (to me, that is).
Hmm, wonder if I could get a blowup of that voucher and print it out life size and send it through the payout machine at the casino? (and if the FBI is reading this, please note that was a joke!)
Well, that’s about it for now. Lunchtime is over. Check back every once in awhile to see if I keep up my interest in sharing my life. But, for now…
Have Fun and Ride Safe,
